Memorial Wall

The memorial wall is situated on the external wall of St. Michaels Church, behind the Tabernacle between the stained glass windows. We believe this is a fitting place close to the Heart of Jesus Christ.

The wall is for Memorial Plaques only. There is no provision for the interment of ashes.

The plaques are uniform in size and cast in Bronze. 215mm X 65mm Each plaque fits onto a brick. So that the wall remains ascetically pleasing. It is not proposed to “reserve” bricks for spouses of plaque holders. A second plaque may be ordered later or the first plaque removed and replaced by a joint plaque.

Memorial Wall

The wall is for use by current and former parishioners of St. Michaels and those who have a special relationship with the Parish community.

The plaques commemorate the lives of deceased relatives and friends.

It is recognised as a sacred place where people can pray, sit and reflect on the lives of those who have died, and gone before us.

It is a place where we can remember the faith that sustains us in our times of grief, and where we can take hope in the promise of the resurrection and eternal life.

The Bronze plaques are manufactured locally and all orders are to be purchased via the Parish Office, where an example is on display.
